Is this a house or a condo?

This is a house. It is  2 stories with 4 bedrooms and 3 ˝ baths. We are located in a desirable private beachside community of 24 homes called “The Beach Retreat”. It has much more room than a standard condo for the same price.

Is this house on the beach?

No, we are not on the beach, HOWEVER we are located directly across the street from it!  Just steps away, it will only take you approximately 90 seconds to walk from the house to your private entrance beach area. If this house were on the beach, the rental rates would be 3 to 4 times our listed amounts. (Please refer to the artist rendering below to get a visual of our location in relation to the beach and pool area.)

Can I see the water from this house?

No, but you can smell the ocean air and feel the breeze coming off the Gulf Coast! You can see the pool, which is directly behind the house.

How many does it sleep?

As mentioned above, we are a 4 bedroom house. 1 bedroom (game room/child room) has 2 separate bunk beds that sleep 4. The first guest room has a queen sized bed that  sleeps 2. The second guest room has a separated queen bed that sleeps 2. The master room has a king sized bed that sleeps 2. Finally, the sofa located on the second floor unfolds into a bed that will sleep 2.  12 persons can sleep very comfortably at SeaCove.

What are the other fees?

There are none. The only charge is the rent and Florida State sales tax. If you decide to take advantage of our grocery delivery service, a small and reasonable fee is charged to cover the cost of the person doing the service. This can be very helpful and take some of the stress out of getting set up when you arrive.

Is the pool included?

Yes. The pool (and hot tub) belongs to our homeowners association and the use of it is included in the rent. The pool is heated in the winter. Guest also have access to our fitness center and clubhouse.

Do you have beach service? (Chairs on the beach.)

Yes, there is a small daily fee for beach service (chairs and umbrella). It is seasonal. You may bring your own chairs and items to the beach if you would like.

What do I need to bring to SeaCove?

Food (Note: Grocery and simple household items can be prepared to accommodate at your arrival upon request. This option has been known to save time and stress on families who are here to relax. Reasonable fees for this service to be determined at time of agreement). We have everything else. We have a washer and dryer, ironing board, all kitchen equipment, like refrigerator, microwave, toaster, blender, all plates, and dishes, cups, cooking pots and pans. You may want to bring beach towels, chairs and umbrella as well as toys for the beach. We provide DvD’s players and an Xbox gaming system so you may want to bring your favorite movie or game as well.

Is the cleaning included?

Yes. We have the unit professionally cleaned after your stay. We do not have daily maid service. There is a vacuum and brooms and dust pans should you need them during your trip. 

What do I do if I have a problem while on vacation?

We have a local manager that we provide you with. You will have his phone numbers and he is glad to help. You can also contact me or my wife Joanne at anytime while you are on vacation and we can call people to help you.

What is there to do in Destin?

The list is endless. Destin is a beautiful resort town that grows each year. It caters to people who are here on vacation. If you can pull yourself away from the beautiful beaches and water long enough, here is a short list of activities to think about engaging in: fishing, boating, scuba diving, biking, shopping, golf and more golf, go-carts, parasailing, dune buggies, water parks, air force museum, jet ski rentals, shell collecting, many quality restaurants, and of course lounging around the beach and pool area, plus much more!
